Barb

Barb has been actively involved in the fitness industry for 17 years. She is a Florida native, but has recently returned to Florida after living and training in Hawaii for the last 12 years. She has a degree in Exercise & Sports Science from the University of Florida and has national certifications in Personal Training, Group Exercise Instructor, Cardio Kickboxing and Wellness Lifestyle Coach. Barb is extremely committed to helping others achieve their fitness goals through motivation, education and ongoing support. “Health and Fitness is not a hobby of mine, it is my lifestyle and my passion. I love what I do and I love to share my enthusiasm and knowledge with others and get them as involved as I am!” Barb’s training ethics include safety, implementing proper form, educating and a whole lot of hard work!

Cory

Cory is a certified fitness instructor who has been successfully training clients since 2005. Stepping into his first gym at the age of 10, his mother hired a personal trainer to work with him. Cory has played sports his entire life. In 2005 he left for Arizona to further his football dream in college. An abrupt injury slowed his dream down and that's when he fell in love with personal training. He has dedicated his life to helping others with their fitness goals from then on. Cory has helped 100's of people reach their goals with personal training and fitness boot camps with a strong desire to go above and beyond training clients at Orangetheory Fitness!

Jerome Kern

As a serial small business owner and operator, Jerome has vast experience ranging from restaurants to campgrounds to telecommunications and digital cable providers to home improvement. Jerome has been an integral part in the development of Massage Envy throughout Florida and now New York. He has owned and operated multiple successful Massage Envy Franchises as well.

 

Dave Long

Armed with a life focus on health and wellness, an Undergraduate Degree in Physical Therapy and an MBA from the Univeristy of Florida, Dave’s work with The Ascente Group has provided him with the ablility to combine his passions with his expertise and experience in business.

Dave has past experience in Management with GNC as well as Sales and Operations for several health club concepts. He spent four years at Massage Envy as the Vice President of Operations, taking the concept from 25 stores to 550, before he partnered with Jerome Kern to begin The Ascente Group. “The Ascente Group only partners with and works with best in class concepts, which sets the developer up for the greatest chance of success. It is very rewarding to build relationships with franchisees, developers, and businesses and watch as their business grows.”

 

Ellen Latham M.S.

Ellen is a highly trained physiologist with a lifelong passion for health and fitness. Her desire to be on the cutting edge of fitness inspired Ellen to design “The Ultimate Workout,” which became the foundation for Orangetheory Fitness – hailed by the New York Times as an effective new plateau-busting workout. Ellen is a Partner and Founder of Orangetheory Fitness, and Owner of Ellen’s Ultimate Workout gym in Florida.

Inspired by her father Arthur Calandrelli, a very popular Physical Education teacher and coach in Niagara Falls, NY, Ellen has been motivating and training clients for over 35 years. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education and a Master’s Degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of Buffalo in New York.

Before perfecting her signature workout, Ellen worked at the prestigious Bonaventure Spa when it was the main fitness retreat for the stars, as well as managed Williams Island Spa and The Eden Roc Spa on South Beach. She served as a TV fitness expert for six years, authored fitness columns for The Miami Herald and South Florida Sun-Sentinel and earned the title of Business Woman of the Year in South Florida. Through her position as fitness editor for Womens' Fitness magazine, Ellen began focusing on Pilates and opened the first group equipment-based Pilates studio in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

Ellen holds certifications in: Polstar Studio Certification; Polstar Allegro 1-3 & Mat; IMX Pilates Certification; ACE; AFAA; Johnny G. Spinning; and extensive course work by Stott Core Dynamics.
