Chris Carey

Whether you are training for the next upcoming marathon, trying to lose weight, or just want to tone up a bit, Chris has the experience to get you ready to achieve and exceed your fitness goals. As the father of one amazing kid, and stepfather of two, staying fit is even more important in Chris' life. Setting an example for them and staying healthy so he can be active in their lives is a great motivator to maintaining his body in the best shape he can be. Chris Carey is a National Council on Strength and Fitness (NCSF) certified personal trainer. He has been actively involved in the fitness industry for more than 20 years. He currently runs a boot camp at Sunset Park Elementary in Kendall, does one on one personal training, and is a trainer at the Pinecrest Orange Theory. Chris has extensive knowledge in prenatal training, rehabilitative strength training and a myriad of other specialty fitness modalities. Chris has worked with all ages and fitness levels, ranging from professional athletes to beginners, and from small children to the geriatric population. Chris has made such wonderful friendships and personal fulfillment in fitness that he cannot imagine a better job than sharing it with others.

Gabe Stewart

Gabriel Stewart has been a personal fitness and spinning instructor for over a decade. He specializes in weight lose programs, nutrition counseling, custom cardio and resistance training routines, as well as rehab for stroke and heart attack victims. Fitness is the cornerstone to overall health and wellness and getting fit is the first step to a new and healthy lifestyle. He likes to challenge and encourage his clients to surpass their physical and mental boundaries by using functional exercise and sound nutritional planning. He has a strong belief that everyone regardless of age, physical condition, mental health and emotional well being deserves to feel and enjoy the freedom of movement.

Jennifer Mitzenmacher

Jennifer is 27 years old and has a Bachelors degree in Sports and Recreation Management from FIU. She has two younger brothers and a twin sister (who is 2 minutes older ;) ). All throughout high school, she ran track and cross country. She made it to states 5 times to compete against the best. After high school, she started training for half marathons. She completed 2 half marathons; one here in Miami and the other in Tampa. Jen has worked in local gyms and event companies (triathlons) for the past 9 years. She is also a certified Crossfit instructor and competes in local competitions. Studying sports and recreation (and having furthered that education on her own afterward) has led her to really love coaching, training and living a healthy lifestyle.

Juan Guzman

Juan Guzman is a certified personal trainer from the National Strength and Conditioning Association with a Dietetics and Nutrition background from FIU. He intends to continue his education by pursuing his Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Juan believes that it is important to train the body holistically and that most injuries can be prevented by a proper strength training and stretching program. He brings a positive attitude and a ton of energy, that makes waking up for those morning classes much more bearable. “My goal as your personal trainer is to pass my experience to you in a fun and challenging environment and Orangetheory provides the perfect platform for me to do so.”

Meredith Wolf

Meredith L. Wolf, B.S. ACSM, AFAA is a certified Pilates Instructor, Fitness Practitioner, Wellness Coach, Personal Trainer and Group Health Fitness Instructor. With specialties in health promotion, personal training and fitness instruction, Meredith has been involved in the fitness industry for more than 30 years. She has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Journalism and Public Relations from the University of Florida and holds professional certifications from the American College of Sports Medicine, Wellcoaches Corporation, USA Triathlon, the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America, YogaFit, Phi Pilates, Sanctuary 7 Pilates, Mad Dogg Athletics,Inc. Spinning and Cycle Reebok, among others. She is a Master Member of IDEA and has served as a triathlon coach for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training program. A fitness counselor for total wellbeing, Meredith is a skilled professional who is dedicated to helping clients enhance their health and longevity through applied fitness management, passion and motivation. She is proficient in accommodating all special populations such as youths, seniors, the physically challenged, pregnant and postpartum women, larger individuals and the sedentary to athletic clientele. As a wellness coach, she is qualified to offer wellness education in nutrition, stress management and preventative lifestyle, in addition to safe and effective exercise. In addition to creating and administering employee wellness programs for local businesses, she currently teaches outdoor boot camp classes, Pilates mat classes and classical Pilates technique, Spinning, body sculpting, Orange Theory Fitness and weight trains individual clients. In combining her passion with serving the needs of others, Meredith is a regular participant in charity races of all kinds and lengths, particularly to raise funds for ALS, Autism, and Special Olympics. She is a regular cyclist in the MS 150 ride as well as the 165-mile Smart ride for AIDS. She has also completed several marathons and triathlons, most recently the Ironman 70.3. Meredith has been married for more than 30 years and has three grown children. She enjoys public speaking on the topic of health and wellness and loves that her work is her passion.

Scott Schlesinger

Scott is a Master Spinning(R) Instructor and International Presenter for Mad Dogg Athletics(R). As such, he is responsible for certifying instructors, as well as teaching continuing education and teaching at major fitness conventions around the world. Scott is also an ACE, AFAA and ISSA Certified Personal Trainer with over 16 years of experience in the fitness industry. He has served as a fitness and Spinning consultant for several facilities in Miami and internationally.

Steve Brookner

Steve Brookner is a 16 time Ironman triathlete, including two appearances as a qualified athlete at the prestigious Ironman World Championships held annually in Kona, Hawaii. Steve has also competed at the highest levels in endurance running at every distance from 5k to ultramarathon, including age group victories at both the 50k (31.4 miles) and 50 mile distances, and literally dozens of successful 26.2 mile marathon finishes. In his spare time, Steve is a Spinning instructor, personal trainer, and running and triathlon coach. Steve now brings his 15 years of experience as a coach, trainer, and competitive multisport athlete to Orange Theory. Steve has been a proponent of heart rate based interval training for both his own conditioning and for his many client athletes, and brings an exciting perspective to the cardiovascular fitness and functional training which are at the core of the Orange Theory training philosophy.

Theresa McQueen Soppelsa

Orange Theory Pinecrest, Head Trainer, Theresa McQueen Soppelsa brings almost two decades of experience in health, wellness and beauty industries. McQueen Soppelsa has managed multi-million dollar spas and health clubs in both North Carolina and Florida. Prior to coming on board to the Orange Theory Team, Theresa managed the full array of group and personal training programming at Biltmore Fitness, one of the largest hotel membership gyms in the country, offering more than 130 fitness classes each week. McQueen-Soppelsa is charged with ensuring the most cutting-edge methods and techniques available in fitness and wellness. McQueen holds certifications as a NSCF Personal trainer, Sports Nutrition Coach, Orange Theory Certified Coach, Johnny G Cycling Instructor, TRX Level 2 certified Coach and is a Real Ryder instructor. Theresa McQueen Soppelsa additionally holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a concentration in finance and operations. As a fitness professional and former athlete, Theresa has been successful in implementing an unparalleled aerobics, spinning and strength training programs in the fitness areana, earning accolades from top national fitness publications including Men’s Fitness and Men’s Health magazines, Shape Magazine and the Robb Report. As the head trainer of Orange Theory Theresa is focused on member service excellence. McQueen Soppelsa works closely with the training team to make sure that each training session not only adheres to the Orange Theory guidelines but leaves a “wow” impression in our members minds and bodies.
