In June 2015, I was diagnosed with breast cancer.
The night before my surgery, I rappelled the Niagara Casino. One week after my double mastectomy, I completed the tough mudder. Five days after 33 radiation treatments, I completed the Donna Deegan 26.2 marathon.
"Throughout my surgeries, chemo and radiation, I continued to work out daily at Orangetheory."
During this time I also completed over 100 events including 5Ks, half marathons, marathons, tough mudders and Spartans.
After a 17-month fight, I am now cancer free! I plan to give myself to others who are not as fortunate. I will be participating in the Empire State Ride, which is a 580-mile ride from New York City to Niagara Falls, to raise money for cancer treatment at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center. I proudly wore my Orangetheory apparel during the event in 2017!
